This probably isn't the right group to ask this question, but
just reroute me, please don't flame.
Someone told me there is a photo server someone on the
net where posters can place photos of themselves in .gif (?)
format. Is this true? How does one get to it and utilize it?

uunet.uu.net has a bunch of faces. You can ftp them (generally speaking) from faces/host.org/user.Z, and there's a few programs to cope with the format in faces/programs. I don't see a README handy (grr) so I know not much more than that from looking at it. Local to you, you might try to get faces/gargoyle.uchicago.edu/chris.Z who you might recognize. Anyone from the Face Project have a real blurb to post ? --Ed
