[news.newusers.questions] Transfer of message to bitnet or internet

dfp10@leah.Albany.Edu (dfp10) (01/13/90)

 I am new to the net. What is the easiest way to relay a message to an address	on bitnet, internet or compuserve? At the moment I save it as a file and either (1) have to kermit to my PC terminal or (2) FTP it to an IBM host.
The situation is worse with received file since all mail appears to be
appended in a single mail box file - I hope I am wrong since I would not only
like to forward particular messages to bitnet but also delete particular ones
without having to "rm" the whole mail file. Thanks. Don

This is the sort of question you really should ask of a
knowledgable person at your site. We have no way to know what kind
of system you are using, what software you have available, etc.;
this information would be readily available to someone local.

That line is longer than 80 characters, you'd make life easier
for many people if you shortened it. Also, there is no net
"Usenet", you probably want to fix that. From the looks of it,
the "Usenet" address is just another Internet address.
