[news.newusers.questions] Can't edit Subject line

packer@chrpserv.gsfc.nasa.gov (Charles Packer) (01/17/90)

I find that when I do "f" to post a followup article, then
use the vi editor, I can't change the existing Subject: line.
That is, something is substituting the existing header
when I send the article. I recently put a NEWSHEADER
in my .login file to correct the wrong default Reply-To:
line, but this is not the problem, since when I went back
to the old .login file, I still couldn't overide the Subject:
line. I suspect there are some funny characters I should put
in the "Subject:" portion of my NEWSHEADER to allow me to
change it, so here is what is there now:

        Subject: %(%S=^$?%"\n\nSubject:

and it continues in this vein off the end of my screen when I do
a "more" on .login--I don't know how to turn the \n into
new lines using "more".
