jfh@netcom.UUCP (Jack Hamilton) (02/23/90)
I have two questions which aren't exactly right for this machine, but which someone may be able to answer nevertheless. (1) The vendor of a product I use recently installed a PC BBS (RBBS). They have now gotten onto DataPack, the Canadian equivalent of Telenet in the US. I suggested that they get an electronic mail linkup as well. The fellow there said they might be willing to do that, but he doesn't know how to go about it, nor do I. Since they're not running Unix, UUCP probably isn't the way to go, but they could get onto Internet or FidoNet, possibly. Does anyone know who to contact about those networks? (2) I have an old version of a VI written for the IBM PC. It occasionally freezes the PC or otherwise behaves imappropriately. Is there a newer version available on a file server somewhere? I looked on SIMTEL20 <MSDOS.EDITORS> and there's not one there. Is anyone familiar with this program, and is there a version later than 1.9a?
