I need help in setting up my site's news feed. We subscribe to uunet. 1. What do I have to do in order to get a limited set of news feeds? I have given to uunet a list of feeds we want. I have an entry in our "sys" file listing just those feeds. For a while, we were getting only those feeds, but now we're getting all of them again. This may have happened after expire ran. Also, now when I ask "rn" for a group we subscribe to, it says there are 0 unread articles, but I'm sure there have been postings. 2. What is the relationship between the files "newsgroups", "active" and "sys"? What should be in each of these? Are there utilities to maintain these files? 3. The file "errlog" contains many, many, many lines like: inews: Newsgroup in active but not in sys I guess I know what this means, but how do I get rid of it? If I knew the answers to 2, would I know? Please email me your answers to the address below. I might not get the feed from this group. ADVAthanksNCE.
