[news.newusers.questions] getting news to people without net access

vinson@linc.cis.upenn.edu (Jack Vinson) (03/02/90)

   I have a few friends that are interested in some of the newsgroups
here, but who cannot rn from their sites. Is there some way to get the
news from a specific group mailed to them. My only thoughts on this are
to save every message then email the whole lot to them each day. I am
just looking for an easier, softer way.

If your news-admin is friendly (mine is :-), you can have him/her put
an entry in the 'sys' file to mail the articles as they come in.
Looks something like:

MAIL-fred:comp.portable.waterproof,rec.hottubbing::mail fred@waterisus.com

Fred won't be able to post, but he can reply to the author easily, if
he has an RFC-822-groking mailer (probably a better thing anyway :-).

Just another news admin,
