First somebackground: VMS 5.1, ANU NEWS v5.9, VAX 6330. News and all the procedures we used worked fine with ANU NEWS v5.8A. Now all messages in each batch are not being separated and posted each as their own message. I have figured out why messages are getting appended like this. Basically, I do EXTRACT/ALL file.batch (in mail) then, in news I do ADD FILE/retry/delete/accept/execute file.batch I have tried EXTRACT/ALL/HEAD *and* EXTRACT/ALL/NOHEAD and they both put all the messages into one post. i.e. it doesn't split up the file. Is this a known bug in 5.9?
