[news.software.anu-news] Printing items

MICHAL@kuhub.cc.ukans.edu (Merlin The Magician) (07/14/89)

Occasionally, I like to print some news items so I just say
'print' on the current item that I am reading. Upon exit from news,
the program submits as many SEPARATE print jobs as there was items
selected for printing. In contrast, MAIL submits just one print job
regardless of how many mail messages you are about to print.

Any way out of it ?

V5.9 will check on each print request to see if a queued request has the same
qualifier set, and if so append the file to this request. Thus if all print
commands use the same qualifier values you'll see only 1 print job on exit of
NEWS.
