[news.software.anu-news] Can NEWS be used as a remote news reader?

ted@mbunix.mitre.org (Ede) (02/27/90)

I'd like to use ANU news as a remote news reader over WIN TCP/IP
without having to copy all of the news to our local node. Is this
possible? Or do I want to use vnews?

The answer isn't painfully obvious in the 5.7 docs. Has the NNTP /
TCP/IP section been embellished since?

The 5.8 docs don't say much either......
