I'm sorry, but the patch was flawed and will be cancelled. If you applied it, you will want to remove it. The date produced by the patched program is still not acceptable to C news, I have just been informed. I will post a new patch when I have the time to write one. I encourage others to beat me to it. Until then, be aware that C news is discarding your articles. If you use dxrn or mxrn and your only neighbor is a C news site that has up-to-date software, none of your messages is being seen outside of your site. You will probably want to either fix this software or use a different posting program until a fix is available. Don't bother complaining, the C news community "has no pity" on you, to quote a C news proponent. To quote one of the authors of C news (as quoted by someone else) "It is not a bug, and will not be fixed." I'll try to get around to writing a patch soon. This time I'll read the RFC myself instead of relying on someone else's word as to what C news requires. -- Terry Poot <tp@mccall.com> The McCall Pattern Company (uucp: ...!rutgers!ksuvax1!deimos!mccall!tp) 615 McCall Road (800)255-2762, in KS (913)776-4041 Manhattan, KS 66502, USA
