(I originally posted this in net.dcom, but it has been brought to my attention that most of the discussion was in net.lan, so here it is again.) A while back there was some discussion about the Sytek Localnet system and its use with UNIX (much talk about software versions, as I remember). One thing I didn't get was any idea of whether people were really satisfied with its performance or not. We are looking at getting a system to use as a terminal concentrator so we don't have to run so many hard lines, and would appreciate any information anyone has on how well they really work. If you are using a Sytek, please reply. I will summarize to the net assuming I get enough info.
