[alt.sources.d] Archive site "sir-alan" operating again

mikes@sir-alan.UUCP (Michael L. Squires) (02/18/91)

The archive site "sir-alan.UUCP" is now operating again. The archive contains
files from alt.sources, comp.sources.[bugs,misc,sources,sun,unix,x] as well
as files from net.sources and mod.sources. The holdings for comp.sources.misc
and comp.sources.unix go back to the beginning; most of the alt.sources files
for the last two years are available.

Material can be obtained via anonymous uucp or via an XBBS BBS system. There
is currently a single line (812 333 0450) with a TB+.

Anonymous uucp access may use the following Systems/L.sys entry:

sir-alan Any ACU [speed] 18123330450 "" \r "" \r ogin: nuucp word: anon-uucp

where "speed" is anything from 300 to 19200 (9600 and 19200 with Telebit PEP
only, PEP tones last, caller must set S111=30 to set protocol spoofing).
Information about the archive is available in /u/pubdir/HELP.

BBS users may use the login of "bbs" to access an XBBS system on which
most files are available. The mail server is currently not operating.
