2ND BROADBAND LOCAL AREA NETWORK CONFERENCE

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug.25 -- Following the highly suc-
cessful broadband local area network conference at Brown
University last November, Sytek, Inc. will cosponsor a
second conference with San Diego State University, Nov.8-
10, to be held in San Diego. The conference will offer
lectures and discussions that explore broadband LAN tech-
nology and its existing and future applications.

The conference, to be held at the Hanalei Hotel, will
apply the classroom technique for network system evalua-
tion, design, implementation, and control. The conference
also will use San Diego State University's broadband local
area network as a verifiable model to show the functions
       of broadband data communications.

Speakers at the conference represent leading educational
institutions and industrial, research, consulting, govern-
ment, and manufacturing companies in the United States and
       abroad.

Broadband data communications installations have more than
doubled in the past year, proving to be less expensive on
a per-connection evaluation, and that shows an increasing
need for data communications managers to incorporate data,
video, and voice on a single, reliable broadband cable.

Registration for the conference is U.S.$675 in advance, or
U.S.$750 on the first day of the conference. For other
information on the conference, please contact Mark Hall,
       (415) 966-7333, or write to SDSU/Sytek Conference, 1225
Charleston Road, Mountain View, CA 94043.
