[net.lan] DEC ethernet transceivers

Somebody asked about braid terminators in the H4000 installation kit. They
are small metal pins that you insert in the cable after you have drilled
the hole but before attaching the H4000. They should be in a small box or
plastic container in the drill kit. They are easy to overlook.

Having installed several ethernets using the installation kit, the only
trouble I encountered was on on transceiver where the engineer incorrectly
installed the braid terminator, shorting the cable.

If you are using a DEUNA (the DEC Unibus ethernet controller) it will
detect things like this at initialisation time. The board has a status
display that gives a good indication of the nature of the fault. The other
nodes on the ethernet will also fail at init time if you have a fault like
this.

There is also a transceiver test box that you can use if you don't want to
connect to the host.
