I noticed a little item in the Alternative Music column of the
Sept. 16 _Cashbox_ today.
Karen Woods, who writes the column, was complaining that she didn't
really know how to explain what "alternative music" is, except that
"you know it when you hear it". She decided that another term was
needed.
"'New Music' won't do. Technically speaking, everything is new
once. Out of the box, Kylie Minogue is as new as Kate Bush."
Heh heh heh.
