[rec.music.gaffa] Latest Frustrations...

I went last Tuesday (the day my local Co-op records gets "new releases")
to ask about the New 12" Single. The response?

"I haven't been solicited for it yet."
(me)"so do you know if you'll be getting it, or the new album that's
	due out in a couple weeks?"
"if I'm solicited for them I'll get them. Until then, probably not."

And I used to think that Coop was the only non-fascist record store
around......

So does anyone have a mail-order source for these? :-)

I had stopped into my local Sam Goody last Saturday, and I asked
the fellow behind the counter;

Me: "Any news on the new Kate Bush album?" (expecting him to look
                                             at me like I was speaking
                                             a foreign language.)
He: "Its not in yet."
Me: "Do you have any promo material you could play?"
He: "Yeah! Its great! I have it at home."
Me: [holding back my envy] "Well, I'll just have to stop in again. Thanks."
[2 days later- I stop in to return a defective tape]
[and he's there again.]
Me: [explanation of tape deleted - reminds him of our Kate conversation.]
    "Did you bring that demo tape in?"
He: "No, I still have it at home."
Me: "Do you think if I give you a blank tape you could dub it for me?
     Its going to be out next week anyway."
He: "No, I'm sorry. I can't do that."
Me: [jaw dropped] "Why not? Can I bribe you?"
He: "No, I'm afraid I can't do that."
Me: "Well....uhhh...thanks.....uh, anyway. [sigh]"

Hmph!                :->

Waiting,
Ken
