[rec.music.gaffa] Chicago Kate Bash? and other babble

lizard@cbnewse.ATT.COM (russell.j.neumann) (10/10/89)

Hi there! I haven't posted to this group in 4 years, I
think it's about time. I'm a pretty serious Kateaholic,
although not as rabid as some. Consequently, I may ask
some questions that have obvious answers for those more
devoted than I. Here's your chance to mold me into a true
Love-Hound.

First, do the LP versions of Lionheart and Never for Ever
have lyric sheets? I have the cassettes, which don't. I've
spent many hours trying to transcribe lyrics and the parts I
can't hear drive me crazy!?!?

Second, what do the experts (|>oug, IED, Ed..?) think that "Wow"
is about?

Is there going to be a Chicago Kate Bash? I hope so. The needle is
smoking on my TSW 12" and I can't wait to hear the rest of the
album! Preferably with an appreciative crowd....

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! UNBELIEVABLE!

Hold on! I am *not* an expert on Kate Bush! I simply like her a lot,
I like to talk about her a lot (as you've no doubt noticed), I have
a moderate-sized collection of Kate-related items, and I try to read
every article that even mentions her name! (For example, did you know
that recently Donny Osmond called the Peter Gabriel/Kate Bush duet
"Don't Give Up" his "theme song"? Or that Kate was quoted in an ad
for Windmill Lane Studios of Dublin in _Billboard_ not long ago?)

You should meet IED sometime (or |>oug, I suppose) to see what a *real*
Kate expert is like.

I too would like a definitive explanation of "Wow".

It appears that I now can get UUNET to work. So feel free to write to me.
