Really-From: cwebster@rodan.acs.syr.edu (Chris Webster) One of the record stores around here is advertising a "New Import Solo Fish" record. Haven't grabbed it yet though. Evidently he has a solo album out. The new Marillion is called something like "Season's End". The band lineup is the same, except for a new singer. The music sounds similar (why wouldn't it?). The difference is in the vocals. I'm undecided about it because I've only really listened to it once so far.

Really-From: "William M. Bumgarner" <wb1j+@andrew.cmu.edu> Marillion: Marillion has a new lead singer; Steve Hogarth. The new album is called _Seaon's End_ and the first single is _Hooks In You_. DON"T JUDGE THE ALBUM FROM THE SINGLE-- the rest of the ablbum does NOT sound like a foreigner power-sell single. The album is excellent, though different from other Marillion-- not only has the lead singer changed, but the musical style is slightly different also. If this is the base that they are building from, it is a strong one. Fish: The new sinlge is OUT! BUT I COULDN"T GET A COPY (SOLD OUT). AAUUUUUGGH! b.bum wb1j+@andrew.cmu.edu

I really hate it when other people do this to me, but I would really appreciate it if you moved this discussion to rec.music.misc or alt.rock-n-roll, where people will discuss nothing but Marillion for weeks. I subscribe here to get away from those endless discussions on Van Halen/Rush/Yes/Marillion/Pink Floyd.
