Has anybody noticed that Marillion has got a new album out (w/o Fish)
or has it been totally overshadowed by KB?

I was in Tower a couple of days ago, and showing some friends who had been
on Mars for the last 2 months some of what's new to blow big bucks on;
TSW, new Jane Siberry, new 10,000 maniacs, new Camper Van Beethoven,
new Art of Noise, noting new Laurie Anderson and new Roches soon (?)
I found no new Marillion, except that their double-live thing is now available
as a domestic release (for $20, even!) Do tell about this release if you
have info about it! I had heard that Fish (Derek Dick) was coming out with
a solo release soon, but I haven't the faintest idea when. Sheez, more ways
to spend my rapidly-diminishing funds.

Yes. I've haerd it and didn't even recognize it for Marillion until the
DJ said it was.

REAL POOR is what I've also heard flung around too.

Actually, _La_Gadra_Lazza_ ("The Theiving Magpie") has been out on CD
since about last April. If you do buy it , purchase the CD for it in-
cludes a full-length version of Misplaced Childhood (I didn't know
that they could do the whole thing live, but I guess they did..).
It really isn't anything new - no major changes in any of the songs,
but it is an impressive collection and the playing was excellent on
all tracks.

As for Fish (his name was revealed after leaving the band), last time
I heard, there were rumors of him singing for the current Yes (as op-
possed to ABWH), but I haven't heard that repeated since last May,
so it probably was just a big rumor to scare people.

Solo album? No news.

Interestingly, his name has been listed in the credits of BOTH _Clutching
at Straws_ and _Misplaced Childhood_ (look under who wrote the songs),
but I guess this is one of those things that people normally pass up unless
they happen to be liner note freaks.

The new Marillion is out domestically (_Season's End_). Also the new
Fish single is out on an import CD5 ("State of Mind"). The album
won't be out until Feb. 1990.

The new Marillion album is called "Season's End". The new
singer is Steve Hogarth. I picked up the new single in England
called "Hooks in You" c/w "After Me" . The B-side is 1000 times
better that the A side. Fish's new single is out in England and
called "State of Mind" c/w "The Voyeur (I like to Watch)". The new
album is called "Vigil in a Wilderness of Mirrors". I can't wait!
It's so hard to get this stuff in North America!

It's called something like "Season's End" and it is indeed with out Fish.
They have another singer, but other than him, it's (the band lineup) is
   identical.

Haven't really listened to it that much (I've only had it two days) so I
can't really comment. Doesn't seem to be the caliber of Misplaced Childhood
   though.
