(_The Review_) has a mini review of _TSW_:
Kate Bush
_The Sensual World_

Over the span of Kate Bush's eight [sic] year recording career,
her musical style has remained religiously consistent. And her
ethereal, silver-bell voice sounds as angelic as ever, only somewhat
more passionate, on her laterst album, "The Sensual World."
The overall tone of the album is hauntingly romantic, with a vast
array of exotic instruments such as Celtic harps, uillean pipes, and a
bouzouki. The title cut eloquently blends erotic lyrics and eerie
background harmonies.
Kate's softened vocals continue into "The Fog," as she compares a
lost love to learning to swim as a child: "This love of yours/ Was
big enough to be frightened of/ It's deep and dark like the water
was."
Intense emotion comes through on "Between a Man and A Woman,"
where Bush's tone exudes a sense of sorrow and regret.
Despite rather gloomy lyrics, this album should be reason enough
to lift her spirits. While she maintains her heavenly vocal technique,
"The Sensual World" assures listening pleasure.
I don't agree with everything in the review--"her musical style has
remained religiously consistent"????--but it certainly is positive!
