[rec.music.gaffa] Kaet sampled?

Anyone want to check out the following possibility and report back?

	Subject: Kate - sampled?

Have you ever noticed that there is a vocal snippet (probably
sampled) in the song `...And this is what the Devil does!' (on
the LP `I see Good Spirits and I see Bad Spirits') by My Life
With The Thrill Kill Kult which sounds an awful lot like Kate
Bush? A sort of `eaaaaayyyaahhh' sorta thang ...

Enquiring minds want to know ...

Fortunately, we here at Gaffa Central are blessed with the latest in
hi-tech audio discriminatory equipment -- our two ears. The
`eaaaaayyyaahhh' in question sounds very little like Our Lady Of The
Screechy Vocals, to be perfectly honest. Maybe a tad like the screams
at the end of "Get Out Of My House" if lifted out of context and put
through an echo effect, but I have listened to GOOMH more times than
I care to enumerate and those screams are embedded in my consciousness,
so I'd know if they were being used. The only Kate sample of which
I'm aware of is the opening drums of Danielle Dax's "Hammerheads"
(and they're sped up there anyway...) Oh, I guess the live
version of Running Up That Hill at the Katemas party could count
too, since I sampled the vocal loop and the drum riff...

For anyone interested in checking out the Thrill Kill Kult matter
further, the scream in question is found at 1:01 among other places.
