A number of us here have just started using the MIT TCP/IP Telnet package on the IBM PC for Ethernet terminal access to 4.2BSD machines. We have all been encountering the same problem, which can be mighty annoying: periodically, the program will exit with the message "Closed: Host reset". This usually happens when nothing has been typed on the terminal for a while, but it also happens when typing away normally (but in this case it is usually preceeded by cecessation of echo.) We have the sources, but I'd like to know if anyone else has encountered and fixed this problem before I delve into the bowels of this code. Thanks, Phil Karn
