Well, I admit that I wasn't exactly a very shrewd purchaser in this
case ("What? Oh wow! Son of a bitch! How much? Can you hold this
until I go to the money machine?"), but I'm glad I did it. The guy
did say that the list price-- whatever list he may mean, I don't
know-- was $90. As for whether it's original, maybe there's someone
out there who can tell me how to find out? It says "Limited Edition
Picture Disc" on the front, but that may not mean much if it was
reissued.

As for other things, in case my mailer is bouncing, I'll post this:
Anyone who has the French lyrics to "Un Baiser D'Enfant" please send
them to me. I'm driving people crazy by playing this so much-- I
really like it. So now I sit and play the English and French versions
over and over. Anybody know why she recorded it in French after
_Never For Ever_ was released with the English version? Just
curious...

I guess that's enough for today.

Please note a) this has been transcribed from <Kate Bush complete>,
published by International Music Publications, ISBN 0-86175-413-1; b) I
don't speak French; c) this terminal doesn't do accents, etc. So if
there's any mistakes in it, I plead ignorance.

	LE BAISER D'INFANT
	------------------
    (sic - that's how it's printed, folks - I know it's wrong)
    (see (a) above )
	Je dis bonne nuit nuit
Je le borde dans le lit
	Mais ca ne va pas
	Qu'est-ce que c'est?
	Un baiser
	Ca me fait fremir
	Je n'ai jamais avant
	Aime un enfant
	Sans controle
	Il n'est qu'un jeune
	Et a l'ecole
	Chez nous ils n'aimeront pas
	Sa petite main
	Joue dans mon coeur
Juste la ou ca fait mal
Toc-toc qui est dans ce bebe
	Tu sais bien y faire

	CHORUS
	Toutes les barrieres tombent
	Ca va se voir
	Ca se voit

	Je ne peux laisser faire
	Je le regretterais
	Oh il m'effraie
Il y a un homme la
	Dans les yeux
Je le vois en me penchant
	Oh il me fait peur
	Quand ils chuchotent entre eux
	Le vent souffle
	Sur leurs levres des caresses
	Qui parlent de l'amour
	Je veux frapper
	Je me retiens
	Je veux juste toucher
	Je dois rester et arreter
Tout ca avant qu'il soit trop tard.

Because it was released in France in 1983 as the B-side of the single
    <Ne t'enfuis pas> (EMI Pathe Marconi 50999 1 65152 7), and I guess
someone thought that it would sell better in French ...

Are we talking about a U.S. release here or the British version ?
I've seen the British original going for 140 pounds (work it out...)
although I bought mine for 25 pounds ! It's crazy isn't it ? I could
have had the re-issue for 40 pounds at a record fair but I'd already
spent 100 pounds on Kate Bush stuff that day. That's life. The
difference between the original and the re-issue are that they have
different sized black borders at the edge of te record. I believe the
re-issue has a very thin border while the original is about 5 mm. It
could possibly be the other way around but I don't have the information
to hand. I'll look it up when I get home tonight.

OK, I've checked this and it's correct. Also the re-issue has "Manufactured
in the U.K. by EMI records Ltd." added to the copyright clause on side
two, whereas the original doesn't. Just for fun ... the re-issue wasn't
as limited as the original with 15000 copies as opposed to 5000.
Anyone out there got the infamous Canadian promo interview thingy (SPRO...)
Just curious...

The easiest way to tell whether you have the original or the reprint
is to look at the "Picture Disk" sticker which is stuck on the cover.
If it is round, you have the original. If it is oval, you have the
reprint. The original also has the words "Remember Yourself"
scratched into the runoff area of the record, while the reprint does
not.

Has anyone else noticed that the "This Woman's Work" 7-inch picture
disk has "Up Yours Ugly" scratched into the runoff area. My, my!
