Does anybody know of an implementation of TCP/IP that can be embedded
in a (more or less) standard V7 kernel? If so, can we get access to it?

I have a 68k box running a local port of V7, and would like to get it
talking with our Vaxen and Suns via 10 MHz Ethernet. I am willing to
write the device driver (Multibus 3Com) but my initial impressions of the
4.2 TCP code would be that it is too intertwined with the rest of the 4.2
kernel (mem mgt, etc) and would take more time to extract than I can give
right now.

Please reply via mail. Thanks!

What you need is 3COM's UNET package. Unfortunately, 3COM doesn't
sell it any more. UNET is an add-on package for V7 systems which provides
full IP/TCP support; our much-modified version interoperates with the DoD
Internet and runs under 4.1BSD, system V, etc. But we do not offer it as
a product. We might be willing to trade for something of equal value.
