I know that this was asked before, but we weren't interested at the
time, so I ignored the messages.
Anyway, does anyone have any experience with the Excelan ethernet
controller (the one with TCP/IP handled by the board)? We are looking
for any experience (good or bad) in general, and the following in
specific:
o How good a job of off-loading the host cpu does the board do?
o How much code remains in the host kernel. This is important for
our 2.9 BSD systems which are already straining the limits of
the address space.
o Does anyone have a device driver for this beast that works under
VMS.
Thanks in advance.
