this message is kinda for Vicki because we were talking bout this
stuff before she moved, but i thought i'd share since it's something
i think most Katefans would like.

last night i picked up this sampler CD on projekt records called _From
Across This Gray Land No.2_ and it's really good. if you recall, projekt
is the label that carries the band Black Tape For A Blue Girl... anyways,
it's got a song by the same group plus quite a few others that i've
never heard of. some of these groups are aparantly on the C'est La Mort
label. here's what the track listing looks like:

	LYCIA 1. From Foam
				2. Down

POPOL VUH 3. Deine Liebe ist susser als Wein
(your love is sweeter than wine)
				4. In der Halle Salomos

	ATTRITION 5. I am
				6. Fusillade I

SKINNER BOX 7. Always Dear Iris
				8. Isola

	AREA 9. Our Corner Drowning
			       10. Robin Song

VICKI RICHARDS 11. Prayer of the Heart

	SLAP 12. Eden Now

BLACK TAPE FOR A BLUE GIRL	13. The turbulence and the torment*

STEVE ROACH 14. Melting at the inbetween

* = previously unreleased.

it's about 71 minutes long. i wish i could say more but i haven't really
listened to it completely. i did skim most of the tracks (i listened to
the SLAP song in it's entirety and it was INCREADIBLE!) and they're all
mostly in the same vein as BFABG. the CD says it's a "collection of
introspective soundscapes" and i think that's about the best way to
describe it. very mellow. mostly whispy female vocals. perfect for the
Suspended in Gaffa show. 2:^)

it's not a very expensive disc either. about $12. i highly reccommend it.

cheers.--d
