(BTW, where *is* BUFFA::HALL, and why are they messing on us? this net stuff still leaves me a bit baffled...) for Ron Hill: Ron, I think I emailed you about wanting the whole set of KTpix, but then again I think all sorts of dubious things. let me therefore request again a complete set -- $15 will be in the mail as soon as I can get to a stamp machine and, well, buy some stamps. re the _TWW_ lyrics books: i'm afraid the holidays and suchlike have cut into the development schedule a bit, but things do progress. i've got the text laid out, and am hoping to scan a bunch more photos today. i'm using imagestudio and freehand on the mac to cleanup the art -- this greatly reduces the size of the postscript output file but is a time/labor intensive process. regardless, i should be close to done by this weekend. re christmas: well, i can now list the bodhran (an irish frame drum) as one of the many instruments i own but cannot play. the bodhran falls into the special category of "instruments featured on Ms. Bush's recordings that i own but cannot play", a distinction shared by just about all my musical thingums. The one exception is irish harp -- i can't off the top of my head think of a featured harp part on any of KaTe's recordings (though there is a harp visible in the Keyboard magazine cover photo). anyway, anyone who thinks that drums are easy to play (you just hit 'em, right?) is welcome to come play the end of Jig of Life on the bodhran, and if you survive that, try Night of the Swallow on my bagpipes... ;-] if you are reading this message for the second, third, ninth, etc. time, sorry for all the words and such. footah! -greg -- gb10@gte.com -- "Go stick your head in a pig!" If I read the signs right, buffa:: is a node somewhere on DEC's internal DECNET network. The giveaway is the "enet.dec.com" addresses, and the main bounce from DECWRL:: (DEC Western Research Labs' most visible machine). Anyone else noticed that *every* *single* major gaffa screwup in the last 6 months was caused by a VAX running VMS? Somedays I think Sirius Cybernetics was inspired by VMS--its fundamental design flaws are completely obscured by its superficial design flaws, to paraphrase Mr. Adams.
