Ok, ok...there's been discussion about Pete's non-Kate version of "Don't
Give Up", but what about his version of "This is the Picture" ?????
Laurie Anderson did a pretty good version of it on "Home of the Brave" with
back-up singers...how did Peter do?

Is there a video for Solsbury Hill in existence? That's probably one of my
favorite PG songs.
Just wondering: do you think Peter left "Games Without Frontiers" off Cv
because he was simply embarrassed at the video? You've got to admit, it's
REALLY silly...crawling around with wind-up babies...heh heh...

I got Hammersmith! I even audio-dubbed it onto cassette...
THe cassette recording turned out surprisingly good...

I think "Excellent Birds" is the song you are speaking about. It
originally appeared on Laurie Anderson's album _Mister Heartbreak_. A
slightly different mix was then released on Gabriel's album _So_. I
personally like the Anderson version better.
           Peace,

I thought he did quite a good job, although certainly not as good as would
have been done with Her Majesty. 8) It was the "intro". During the song
he sort of musically introduced the band.

Not that I've ever heard of. Although SH is on PoV. Well done, too. As is
all of PoV.

"Cv"? What's that? If you meant PoV, it's on it...

Jealousy really doesn't become me... 8)

CV is the Peter Gabriel video from a couple of years ago. It's
not a concert video, but rather a collection of his music
videos. It includes two different versions of "Don`t Give
Up", both of which have appearances by Kate.

Hello there fellow Love-Hounds--
A quick note to make a plug for the new Gabriel video, Point of View.
The last time I saw Gabriel live was (far too long ago) back in November
of '86, at a packed Centrum in Worcester, Mass., and watching PoV
brought back all the memories in vivid detail...Gabriel's scampering
around the stage during "Shock the Monkey", the lights attacking him
as he tries frantically to escape during "No Self Control", his fetal
curl beneath the caressing lights of "Mercy Street". Of course, the
moment that does the most for me is when he offers himself up to the
hungry crowd for "Lay Your Hands on Me"; a moment that reminds me how
lucky I was to grab his arm as he was passed over me as I stood in the
4th row, center. :)

Anyway... 'nuff said? For those of you Gabriel fans out there who
haven't gotten PoV yet, do it. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

                                      All the best,
                                          Deb Wentorf
