We are seriously considering putting out a product with Ethernet as one of the pieces. These Ethernets would be large - possibly involving gateways and small campus-sized geographic areas. We need to find detailed documentation telling how to cable up buildings and areas with Ethernet cables. Something that we can hand to a newly hired engineer who knows how to run twisted pair cables, which will tell about all the things to do and not to do, where to run the cables, how to handle various kinds of buildings, and produce a professional quality network. (No random loose gizmos hanging out of the wall.) Does such a document exist? If so, can someone tell me who to get it from and exactly what to ask for? (If the answer is "Xerox", a phone number for the right department would be helpful - we've gotten nothing useful from our local Xerox office.) Also, comments on off-the-shelf gateways for TCP/IP or CLNS would be appreciated. I've heard 3M has such a box - anybody know about it? Thanks much, Mark Horton
