Kate Bush fans!!! Everywhere I look messages from kate bush fans. Transcripts
of kate bush interviews. This is great!!!!!!

Hello. My name is Ronald Hill from San Diego, and I have the following
commentquestions...

I am new to networks of this size, but I saw a message scroll by from someone
from California who was going to the Kate Bush con and wanted to know if
anyone was interested in joining a trivia team of Californians. SIgn me
up!!!! I am not much on trivia, but I know lots about ka and will be at the
Kate Bush Con in London. Do lots of americans go to these things?? Will Kate
herself be there??? What are the Kate Bush sites to see in England???

I was also wondering what kinds of Kate Stuff is available on computer form.
I have only been a fan for about 3 years and wareally excited to read the
interviews on this net, but was wondering if there was a BBS or something that
had text files of earlier interiews or digitized pictures or something. I have
fan and general mags about kate going back three years but not that much from
before...

I was also wondering if anybody knows if there is a CD will the complete
"kathy demos" availablhere in ameri, or for that matter other bootleg stuff
.

Anyways, hello again!!!!

Just after sending a message to you I read the message you sent (partially) to
me. At the beginning of it I lost the phone connection!!! (argghh). Anyways
the photo came out pretty good as did most of the photos at there house. Did
your photos come out OK?? you had a better camera then mine but I think I was
closer. Anyways if you want any of the photos I would be more than happy to
send you any/all free of charge of course (STILL haven't figured out a way to
thank you for everything!!!). If you have enough of Kate I could just send
you the unique ones that I took (car shot, group shots, etc).
Good news about confirmation of U.S. tour! That with what Del Palm told me
(U.S. tour, 5 cities, New York, L.A., Chicago (I think), ) makes it sound
pretty certain! Speeking of del, I don't know if you read the message earlier
but my best shot is the one of him after I asked him if I could get a picture
of him smiling ! The smile on his face is GREAT...
Anyways, sorry this isn't a private message but I don't know how to send
those yet (I'm new :-) ) . Type to you later....

WHOOPS. I forgot to answer one of Vickie's questions. I used a Cannon Sure
Shot which I bought at Price Club for 120 bucks. The interesting thing is we
have another similar camera (The Vivitar, I think) for about 70 bucks that has
a zoom lens. When I got paid before I left for the convention, we were out of
the cheaper camera, so I bought the Cannon. I was kicking myself at the
Convention, cause right before I left we got in the cheaper camera which might
have had even closer photos. Fortunately I have learned that the Vivitar
doesn't take as nice of photos, so I guess I made the right decision.
The only problem was that they were too white when printed normally,
but that was only on the Kate photos.
Also you mentioned how close I was. I was lucky enough to get a close
seat without having to rudely go in front of people like the people standing
up. This makes the photos nicer for me, cause I know I didn't have to be rude
to get them.
I just got a letter from Ray Russell. It seems that when he helped me
sort out the photos, on the way back he dropped the axle on his car!! The last
of the photo-curse??? I have just gone over the (hopefully) last major
financial shock wave from the convention and photos, so hopefully this is the
end of the curse. Also, I had my first Kate-contact (is that the right
word) in more than a year (not counting the convention). I have been going to
a form of physical therapy called Feldenkrais and while I was having the
therapy being done I saw some Phycological books on the wall so I asked my
physical therapist if she had ever heard of Reich. She said that she had some
of his books and had done a paper on him. I later mentioned Kate and she said
"Oh, I heard of her, I have one of her albums."
"Which one"
"The one with the black and white cover."
"The Whole Story?"
"Yeah, that's probably it."
"There's a song on there called Cloudbusting which is based on book written by
Peter Reich about his dad."
"Oh, really"

So anyway, next time I have the therapy she is going to bring in one of his
books and educate me on him and I am going to educate her about Kate....

P.S. I left an early message to Vickie earlier but don't see it here now.

For a day or two nothing was here and also my last message didn't seem to make
it. Here it is again, I hope it doesn't show up later!!! If anybody has sent
me mail in the last three days I don't think it made it....

I don't know if anybody has posted a message like this, but today I
went in for my physical therapy and my therapist let me borrow a book by
Wilhelm Reich called Character Analysis (third edition third printing 1980,
orginally published in 1945. On the cover is a circle with a line under it
that looks fairly simular to the new KT symbol. On the back they call it the
symbol of orgonomic functionalism.
It is a circle with a veritical line under it. The circle is simular
as it is broken on the very top, but instead of on side curving under the
other, each side is an arrow pointing to each other. THere is no horizonatal
or diagonal "KT" lines, of course. The line underneith has another arrow
where it touches the circle and has a small filled circle on the bottom.
I, of course, have not read the book yet, but my physical therapist
says its about "orgone biophysics", which particially encomposses the theary
of life energy the Kate has touched apon. It also discusses the theary that
emotional stress is caused partially by physical blockages and through
physical therapy you can releave these blockages. My therapist used to
practice this techinque. She has offered to try it on me, but I don't know...
Interestingly, the physical therapy I am now doing is based partly on the idea
that this part of Reich's ideas is WRONG. I haven't read the book on the
therapy I am now doing, but it apparently starts off from some simular basis,
but attacks the basic thery put forth in The Character Analysis book.

Hello, I left this message two days ago and it didn't seem to make it so here
its is again:

I just got a SECOND letter from the Homeground crew. They told me they are
still working on the next issue of HOMEGROUND but are being delayed by water
pipe burst. The letter was dated 13 March. My theary about the issue is that
it will have the transcript from the convention (can anybody MAIL this to me
in case it doesn't) illistrated by the photos. Thats the only reason I can
think of for Kate helping/approving the photos. I also assume, of course,
that they have several photos from other people, so this should be a VERY VERY
best of set!

I also finally got a response from Tracy Sommerville of STILL BREATHING. She
says that she will send issue 6,7,8,9 which will be out by summer. I don't
know if she means that all the issues would be out by summer or that the next
issue would be out by summer, I assume the latter, but it seems like a long
time till the next issue.

I don't know what others think of STILL BREATHING (formerly BREAKTHROUGH) but
I will always have a soft spot for it as it was my first contact with other
fans. She also requests that other Love-Hounds write to her so here it is:

Delta, BC
V4E 1Z1
CANADA

I must confess that I cannot get used to the letter time-lag after Love-Hounds
and GENIE.

Hello, I'm not sure if the board I'm on is receiving this newsgroup all the time, but could someone please E-mail me the address of the Kate Bush mailing list? Thanx...

First off I was just sent the text to the convention so don't anybody else
send it!

Second off Thanks for all the letters (already!) about Cloudbusting. I
figured people would be exited but this....

Third off, I just had a good idea. since I already have converted the lyrics
, chronology, and disc/video graphy sections of the Garden and since these are
going to be included with most versions of cloudbusting I might as well start
think about posting em. I will PROBABLY (unless IED has any objections, as he
has not been able to edit them) start sending them through in as a series of
messages, so if you don't have em' in some form of another, get ready for em.
Also if anybody else has maassive files (10-20 pages) they want to send
through maybe me should cooridinate so that we don't overload the system. From
what the moderator has told me, I am only going to send through about 20-25k
at a time.
Remember these first files are actually IED's scomments about them
should go to him. Any formating errors caught (extra blank lines, etc) should
be directed towards me.

Lastly, I just got a color DRAWING of Kate. Its from a demo of an
AMIGA program SPECTRACOLOR. Its not very good, and its only 4 or a screen,
but it's the only DRAWING I can think of. It came in a magazine/disk
collectioin from England. The magazine uses the picture itself to illistrate
how to use the demo of the program. IT shows the picture of Kate
super-impossed over a staircase then the same picture with Kate faded down
somewhat. The caption in the magazine read "A once superstar who has faded to
obscurity" or something simular. I don't know how much of a dig at Kate this
was meant to be and how much it was simply illistrating how to use the fade
features in the program. I should be able to get the name of the mag if
anybody wants to write em nasty letters.
