I was reading a transcript from the archives of an interview with Kate and she was talking about vegetarian recipes. Is she vegetarian, or just a good vegetarian cook? I don't remember who was interviewing her, but I do remember reading it. I also remember hearing that she smokes. Yes, and tobacco is most definitely made of vegetarian products. Alchoholic stuff is also made out of vegetarian base products... The reason to this rhetoric is that I and Carina often meet people who think that to be a vegetarian is structly equal to be a pure-living health phreek, which is NOT the case with us, and I suppose not with KaTe either. You can be a vegetarian of different reasons; health or otherwise. We are vegetarians of pure religious reasons (religion in it's non-organized meaning). That we are feeling much better now than we did four-five years ago (before becoming vegetarians), we just see as a nice spin-off product. So, I never saw Kate's smoking habit as anything remarkable in the light of her vegetarianism, just a foolish thing to do in the long run... (says the person who occasionally enjoys a pipe... :-) Well, anyway.
