[rec.music.gaffa] Happy review; Reproductive birds

stern@chem.nwu.EDU (Charlotte Stern) (05/03/91)

Vickie informs us that a free weekly in the Albany area called
METROPOLITAN has a review of Warpaint. Very favourable. She suggests
that all lovehounds in the capital area (Derek, are you there?) pick
up lots of extra copies... she'll be in touch with *you*.

While I'm here, since I've seen nothing posted regarding this,
I'd like to point out that one Michael Graham's messages have been
very fruitful and fertile in their reproductive capacities, spawning
a swarm of duplicates, triplicates and umpteniplicates around the
internet breeding grounds. Perhaps, Mr. Graham, or for that matter,
anyone who knows how, can try to keep Mr. Graham's generous set of
hormones to himself. I read LH on the digest level --- I have no idea
if this is a news problem as well; but it is the first time in a while
that it has happened with such relentless vigor and tenacity. Thanks!

Point of contemplation: Are passing_thru_air and if_you_could_see_me_fly
oblique references to Kate's well-established aerophobia? For someone
who's afraid of mechanical birds, she certainly writes alot of songs about'em.
(Kite, Night of the Swallow are two that come to mind right off the bat
(no pun intended)).

What about The Big Sky vid? Never seen it, but according to "A Visual
Documentary" (and looking at the photos) it's very aeronautical. Is
this the work of an aerophobe?
