[comp.protocols.iso.dev-environ] looking for CCR

CHAIBP@NUSDISCS.BITNET (11/23/89)

Has anybody developed CCR (Commitment, Concurrency and
Recovery Service Element) ? We'd pleased if you can share
your experience with us.

According to the spec., in order for FTAM to be able to
recover from application or communication failures and
to support atomic actions, CCR services are required.
But I don't find CCR in ISODE, does that mean that
FTAM of ISODE doesn't support recovery/reliable file
transfer ? (forgive me, I don't have a copy of ISODE)
Any plans to include CCR in ISODE ?
or
anyone who has developed it in their implementations
and would like to share your experience with us ?

All info would be greatly appreaciated !

Hy,

I read your message looking for anybody who has already worked with CCR.
In NCE-UFRJ we had developed an implementation of JTM services that includes
the CCR services. The implementation is for the VAX/VMS environment and we are
now finishing the validation procedures. If you would like more details,
please contact me through the address below:
