In the ISODE, there is an implementation of the X.500 Directory called
QUIPU. It is a full implementation of the Directory, with several
enhancements (termed "local matters" by the standards) necessary to make
such a system work (e.g., access control, replication, and caching).
The next release of the ISODE is scheduled for mid-December. If you
have direct Internet access, you can join a White Pages pilot currently
underway. Drop a note to wpp-manager@nisc.nyser.net for the details.
