Both RTSE and CCR are meant for reliable transfer but as far as FTAM is concerned, DIS 8571 mentioned only about mapping FTAM service primitives into CCR service primitives - never into RTSE service primitives, seemingly promoting the use of CCR. Though the use of any other service elements as a means for reliable file transfer is not prevented by the standard but any such attempt would certainly be not inline with what ISO is promoting (i.e. use of CCR) would invariably mean lower interoperability. In other words, there is no apparent advantage for doing that. But ISODE has chosen to use RTSE instead of CCR. Is there any special reasons ? BoonPing
