Over the weekend I was reading a book that mentioned a JTAM - Job Transfer and Access Method - specificiation in the OSI model that I'd never heard of before. Has anyone else? Can you give me pointers? I'm starting to look at network operating systems, client-server model distributed processing, and various mechanisms for selecting which server a client should choose to run (parts of) an application. If you can point me toward reference material, or better yet, if you know of someone working to implement JTAM in ISODE, I'd appreciate it.
