I will use ISODE in a class exercise doing a small ROS system. The problems I have encountered are the following: I do not want the students to have their own copy of ISODE. The Makefiles and includes etc assume that you do your development in the ISODE tree. I will do some modifications to the Makefiles to make it possible for them to stay at their home directories when they compile and debug. Secondly, they are not allowed to run as root. So they cannot install the "normal" way. The only way out I see so far is to insert a lot of entries a al "imagestore0", "imagestore1", "imagestore2", and make them refer to defeind place in the students homedirectories. That way they can develop both a client and a server. Is there any other easier way to do it? Has anyone done this before or are all ISODErs hacking on their own? tjena moss! /hans -- Hans Eriksson (hans@sics.se) Swedish Institute of Computer Science (SICS), Box 1263, S-164 28 KISTA, Sweden Tel: +46 8 752 1527 Fax: +46 8 751 7230 Home: +46 8 32 68 97
