[comp.protocols.iso.dev-environ] ISODE on HP X.25

DICAPUA@IBACSATA.BITNET (Giancarlo Di Capua) (11/28/90)

 Hello anyone,
I'm installing Isode 6.0 on HP 9000/320 equipped with an HP X.25 board
(CATFISH).All that I would know is whether the Transport of Isode see
this kind of board. If no, is there some way to run the transport on
X.25 network? How I have to install Isode to run it on X.25?

Any help is useful.

	Hello, Giancarlo.

You are probably running HPUX operating system. The config
subdirectory contains the files hpux.make and hpux.h for the cconfiguration
of ISODE. The default options in this files are for TCP but you can easily
change it. The possible options are in the OPTIONS file in the same subdir.

When you modify those files as appropiate (configuration), generation
of ISODE makes a transport layer -not standard, of course- which will run on
top of X-25. If the card is enabled you shouldn't have major problems after
instalation.

I had to change some options for my HP-9000/350 and it worked, but
I had TCP, so I can't specify the options you need. It isn't difficult though.
