[comp.protocols.iso.dev-environ] installation of isode and FTAM implementation

clissman@ccvax.ucd.ie (01/25/91)

I have a small problem with the isode, which i could certainly use some help
on. I've got hold of a copy of isode6, on a sun, but i have no idea how to
install it (if such a concept is valid with the isode) or how to get the
implemenatation of FTAM which came with it up and running. My interest is in
running ftam and then modifying it slightly to allow the use of encryption and
other security routines on FTAM files before they get sent any lower into the
network.

How do I get Ftam up and running ?
What c functions carry out which roles in FTAM ?
How can I modify the ones I want and then recompile (get modified-FTAM running)
Can someone give a few pointers here please ? I DO have the manual for 6.0, but
it seems pretty short of this kind of material

Thanks for any help

I have a copy of the ISODE but the manual doesn't say how to install it
or how to get the FTAM implememtation (which i have in version 6.0) up and
running. I want to know how to do these, and also how the FTAM works, which
routines have which roles and so on, because i want to modify it slightly to
allow the use of encryption and other security services.

How do u set up the ISODE ?
How do u get the FTAM service up and running

I'd really appreciate any tips

Thanks
