[comp.protocols.iso.dev-environ] Compiling ISODE on sysVr4

ppg@oasis.icl.stc.co.uk (Philippe Goujard) (02/22/91)

Has anybody already compiled the ISODE-6.0 package on an Unix sysV rel 4?

I was able to compile it with sys53.make and sys53.config with minus changes
but, as I want to run the VT programms, the can only compile with bsd unix.
And trying to compile the vt tool in bsd (i.e declaring -bsd42 in the
isode-6.0/vt/Makefile or using /usr/ucb/cc instrad of cc) gets the librairies
all mixed up!

SO, what I want to do is to compile everything with bsd.
I've used bsd42.h and bsd42.make and I use /usr/ucb/cc and /usr/ucb/ld
The current compile process stops in "pepy" directory. The compilation
is ok but when "./xpepy -a PY_advise -m -A -b UPEPY UNIV.py" executes
it ends with a "Terminaison code 139"

Anybody who has compiled it under unix sysVr4 or bsd, can you tell me
what modification did you make?
