The following is about the SNMP implementation. I have found a problem decoding MIB "Counter"s which have the most significant bit set. The function prim2ulong() in snmp/syntax.c thinks the MSB should never be set. I read RFC1155 differently and apparently the implementors of the agent software in my cisco router think likewise. But then I don't really grok the BER. For the time being I have just disabled the test and it works just fine. Now the question: What is broken, the agent or prim2ulong()?
