Greetings, I have a copy of a paper by Graham Knight, George Pavlou, and Simon Walton titled "Experience of Implementing OSI Management Facilities". It describes a pilot OSI management system implemented on a Unix workstation. I was told that this system would be available in the public domain in April. Does anyone know the status of its availability? If it is available, how can I obtain it? Please send email replies to: n_bauer@cnd.hp.com Thanks - Neal Bauer

Neal, The pilot OSI management system described in the paper is not yet available, we are currently doing some more work and expect to release it towards the end of June. There is a preliminary version ready though with only minimal documentation which people can get and look at/experiment with. Anybody interested should send a request to osimis-request@cs.ucl.ac.uk, mentioning the generic managed system. Regards, George Pavlou

A correction to the mail address I supplied in my previous reply: anybody interested in the interim undocumented version of the Generic Managed System should send a request to either g.pavlou@cs.ucl.ac.uk or g.knight@cs.ucl.ac.uk. osimis@cs.ucl.ac.uk is a list which we hope will provide a discussion forum for OSI management. If people want to join that list, they should send a request to osimis-request@cs.ucl.ac.uk. George Pavlou
