We're considering implementing the ACSE/Presentation/Session/TP4 entities of ISODE over X.25 on a Sun3 or Sun4. Does anyone have experience with this? I'd appreciate it if I could I get an idea of the level of effort. Thanks much.

If you mean running ISODE over SunLink X.25, then it already supports this. The amount of effort required is limited to selecting the correct configuration file (e.g., config/sunlink3.*) and following the installation instructions. /mtr ps: ISODE does TP0 over X.25, not TP4.

Norsk Data paid a consultant to port the ISODE 5.0 tp0bridge to work with Symicron's X.25 cards. We've been using this with Xenix V/386 (using the PC-version of Symicron's card) and with Unix V 3.2/M88000 (using the VME-bus version of the card). (By using I mean using in a commercial X.400 product.) We sold a copy of the source code to another organization, to recover part of what the port cost us. If there is sufficient interest, I believe that the code may be released.
REMEMBER:
- It was originally written for ISODE 5.0 (!)
- It involves the use of a hacked-up TSBRIDGE
- It runs over the SYMICRON X.25 card only.
