[gnu.emacs.gnews] Keyboard Macros from Index mode

The subject line says it.

I'm having trouble with a keyboard macro in Index mode.  I have two
windows, the article and the Index.  I start the keyboard macro, do an
"=", switch to the other window, do an "s" and grab the file name to
save to from the article window, then do another "=" and end the macro.

When I do a C-x e, the macro repeats everything except for the last "=".

Any idea what the problem might be?
