[gnu.bash.bug] Apollo stuffs up

robi@attila.esa.oz.au (RoBeRt KaRp) (09/19/89)

I wrote this a couple of days ago:
! While we're here, I have already mentioned this to Brian Fox, but
! in an xterm, only occasionally, when I do a "resize" I get an
! "Apollo specific fault" which is from their version of <sys/signal.h
!
! Any one got ideas for any of the above ?

And furthermore if I expand a fairly lengthy alias, then CTRL-U, only
half the line is rubbed out. The shell thinks it is all gone. There
are more such problems with moving back over the prompt and onto
the line above !

[14] xs
then press C-d (bound to shell-expand-line) Then get
[14] xsetroot -display jr:0.0 -bitmap
then press C-u
[14] xsetroot -di

I have compiled the shell with SONY and SUNIII as targets and neither
is any different.

I would really like to hear from those who have put bash
together on an Apollo or who know what the hassle is.
