Bash 1.04 uvaxII Ultrix 2.0 If I am sitting at the prompt and I press the key for possible-completions, I get a trillion commands printed out. However, bash hashes none of them. Is there a reason why this hashing should not be done, since the paths have all been followed anyway? The same holds true if I issue the command type -path xxx. An argument against hashing in the previous example may not apply to this one. Just curious. -- Andrew Thomas andrewt@watsnew.waterloo.edu Systems Design Eng.
