Does anyone know anything about a company called Computer Network Technology (CNT)? They were mentioned in a couple of articles in the July 22, 1985 issue of Electronics. Apparently, they're going head-to-head with Network Systems Corporation's Hyperchannel. The network itself is called Lanlord, and it sounds a LOT like Hyperchannel, except that it's supposed to cost about half as much. It runs at 25 Mb/s, which is half the speed of Hyperchannel, and yet CNT is claiming they have equal or better overall throughput. (How?) Another claim is that the customer can use ANY host software that runs with Hyperchannel.... You-gotta-be-kidding department: according to one article, CNT is located just down the street from NSC, in the suburb of New Hope. Don Deel ...!ucbvax!sdcsvax!deel
