[soc.feminism] Jewish Feminist Theology

rsp@PacBell.COM (Steve Price) (11/20/89)

I recently posted a note about current Jewish Feminist Theology as discussed
in an article in TIKKUN magazine. I received email requesting further detail.
Unfortunately, my systems' mailer is too stupid to respond properly, and
I'm too stupid to figure out how to fix it, so I'm posting the following. It
probably is of rather general interest in any case.

The article in question:

"Divine Conversations: On God-Language", TIKKUN Vol. 4 Num. 6, Nov/Dec 1989,
page 18. by Judith Plaskow.

Judith Plaskow is an associate professor of religious studies at Manhattan
College. The TIKKUN article is excerpted from her book STANDING AT SINAI:
JUDAISM FROM A FEMINIST PERSPECTIVE, which will be published by Harper & Row
in January 1990.

The journal TIKKUN ia "A Bimonthly Jewish Critique of Politics, Culture &
Society".
