[net.lan] Soderbloom's patent

Has there been any definite ruling on Olof Soderbloom's patent
contention? He alleged that his patent covers all token passing
ring configurations. However, the last that I read was about 2
years ago when the whole mess was still up in the air.

I heard that he recently succeeded in getting the Patent Office to reissue
the patent with significantly broader claims. I suspect that some laywers
are going to get rich fighting about this issue when IEEE 802.5 networks
finally make it to market.
