[soc.feminism] Responsibility for Pregnancy?

al885@cwns9.ins.cwru.EDU ("Gerard Pinzone a.k.a. Ataru Moroboshi") (06/15/91)

(some stuff regarding responsibility regarding unwanted pregnancy...)

>Because the woman *wants* a child. Since she does, it would be silly
>for her to have an operation preventing her from having one, eh?

What if the woman doesn't wan't a child yet still retain sexual
relationship(s)? Should she need to resort to such measures as
mentioned before (i.e. tubal ligation, etc...)?

BTW, I agree that there is a lack of responsibility toward unwanted
pregnacy by a lot of people, however, I don't find castration,
abstance, or masturbation good alternatives.
